Did the phrase "more information" cross your mind? Hopefully, it did. This list contains more than just a list of names. Each Artist/Band is featured, along with their influences, song titles, and the time when they joined SonicAwareness. This information is important because it helps distinguish the bands from one another.
The purpose of displaying a "Band Name" goes without saying. After all, you need to know the name of an artist or band. "Influences" are posted so listeners can get a better idea of the 'type' of music you play. Sure, all bands in this listing play Rock music, but that's a very broad genre (all genres are!). If a listener sees that you're influenced by his/her favorite band(s) or artist(s)then they will assume that you play a style of music that they'll like.
