Origin of band/artist: The Dancing Dogs all live in the New Bedford MA area . Most of the band grew up in this area although Tom Short moved to New Bedford from Flint Michigan .
Philosophy: Musically "The Dancing Dogs"have always sought to experiment with every style that appeals to us and to perform with great joy and skill . We have always tried to be a positive force in our community both artistcally and politically .
Future plans and goals: "The Dancing Dogs "are currently working on our third CD , it's coming out great ! This summer we are presenting a series of concerts on weekdays in downtown New Bedford sponsored by an arts lottery grant . We have performed in many settings but would like to play more festivals , our music is festive and appeals to a wide variety of people .One of our main goals is to perform in Europe and other areas of the world .
