And this is what the Random Listing Display looks like.

The Button is placed either in the Music Library, where all the Genres and Sub-Genres are listed, or it is placed in the Music Listings, where all the bands are listed. Either way, the button is highly visable and located in a frequently visited area of the site. The idea, of course, is to draw attention to a specific band/artist. The Buttons effectively act as banner ads for the musicians. In this case, clicking on this Button transports a listener directly to Band X's Listening Room.

Each band/artist's Button is shown intermittantly throughout the month. The number of impressions each band/artist receives depends on their membership. Full Promotional Service Members receive a minimum of 1000 impressions. Other members may purchase impressions in batches of 1000. Full members may purchase extra impressions if they wish.

All buttons are the same, with the exception of the Band/Artist name, and the corresponding Sub-Genre being displayed. This is done to ensure fairness and consistency, and to maintain the overall integrity of the site's look and feel.

The Random List is located on page that shows up just before Listeners reach the Music Library. The Random List is used to present Listeners on SonicAwareness with a random sample of different musicians who may be found on site. The list is another way musicians can "stand out" and attract a larger audience to their Listening Room.

The services you have read about over the last few pages are used by SonicAwareness to effectively promote you to Listeners from all over the world. We feel these services are essential for independent bands/artists, as indpendents need more than just an mp3 warehouse to store their music. We wish to give independent musicians a chance to be heard, and we do everything we can to help them attract an audience. We strive to try harder than everyone else.
